Dell has lined up Vostro 3000, a new series for its low cost small business laptop. It is probably not as macho as Vostro V13 but the pricetag on this device does make the difference. It is powerful and portable capable of doing all the professional tricks.
The processor options in Vostro 3000 Series are Core i3, i5 and also i7 with quad-core CPUs capability available in 17-inch Vostro 3700. The other screen options includes the 13-inch 3300 which starts at $699, 14-inch 3400 from $768, 15-inch 3500 from $768 and the 17-inch 3700 starts from $798. Even better with a discrete graphic option you can add an Nvidia Geforce 310M 512 MB graphic memory to the 3300-3500, whereas the 17-inch Vostro 3700 has an opt Nvidia Geforce GT330M 1GB card.All of them have a hard drive accelerometer, which parks the hard drive head in the event of a fall. All but the 13-inch 3300 has HDMI output.
